World XI's Tony Bellew trolls England before Soccer Aid 2025

Big Zuu scored a dramatic winner after Carlos Tevez grabbed four goals of his own as the World XI came from behind to beat England 5-4 to regain the Soccer Aid crown at Old Trafford.

Wayne Rooney marked his return to Old Trafford by giving England the lead inside five minutes and Toni Duggan doubled their lead shortly before half time with a composed finish from the former Lionesses.

Jermain Defoe added to England’s advantage after the break, and then scored England’s fourth to become the top scorer in Soccer Aid history. But Tevez, who famously moved from Manchester United to Manchester City and enjoyed playing the pantomime villain at Old Trafford, rattled off four goals in quick succession to level.

And with the match heading to penalties, YouTube star and TV presenter Big Zuu found the corner of the goal with a low shot past Paddy McGuinness to complete the comeback for the World XI. The annual match for children’s charity UNICEF raised over £15m.

8 mins: INJURY! Ouch. Tony Bellew looks in a lot of pain as he limps down the touchline, his left knee heavily strapped. This is a blow that he will not get up from.

Tom Grennan whistles a shot over the bar as England look to build up their fast start.

GOOOAAAALL!!! Soccer Aid: England 1-0 World XI

WAYNE ROONEY SCORES AT OLD TARFFORD AGAIN!

There’s a big mix-up between Edwin Van der Sar and Nemanja Vidic (Sir Alex would be furious).

But Rooney is there to finish into the empty net and he is mobbed by his team-mates.

England lead.

Soccer Aid: England 0-0 World XI

4 mins: CLOSE! Ramsey nips in on the halfway line and England break through Wilshire, who tees up Rooney on the edge of the box. It looks like a classic Manchester United counter-attack, but Richard Gadd is there to block.

Soccer Aid: England 0-0 World XI

2 mins: Bella Ramsey vs Tony Bellow and Nemanja Vidic is a frankly insane match-up down the left wing. But Ellie from the Last of Us has come through a lot worse, so.

The biggest cheer of the opening two minutes is for Louis Tomlinson, unsurprisingly. He cross is cleared.

Soccer Aid: England 0-0 World XI

FALSE START. Wayne Rooney and Jack Wilshire realise the ball is flat, so a replacement is quickly found. Off we go.
