Sheriff issues eerie warning ahead of weekend protests
Sneaker store gets looted during Los Angeles ICE protests
A Florida sheriff has warned people protesting against increasing ICE arrests nationwide that any violent actions towards law enforcement would result in death.
Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey said that blocking roadways would lead to arrest, fleeing arrest would result in being caught and jailed, and attempting to mob a car could lead to being run over.
“If you throw a brick, a firebomb, or point a gun at one of our deputies, we will be notifying your family where to collect your remains, because we will kill you, graveyard dead,” he said.
Protests against the Trump administration's immigration policies have been occurring across the nation and are expected to continue this weekend, coinciding with the president's birthday parade.
Sheriff Ivey has a history of making headlines with unconventional press conferences.
